“Absolutely the best oysters I’ve ever had.”

Just thinking about this place makes me hungry. Just off the busy Pikes Market, this place will dish up some of the best oysters ever. I stopped in this place about 5 times on my last Seattle visit. I ate oysters all over town, and this place by far had the best tasting oysters in the entire town of Seattle.

“Fresh street food at it’s best”

We stopped at the market for a day trip. There is nothing fancy about this place but the street feel is fun. The crab salad and clam chowder at Jack’s were amazing! I would go back for sure.

“great value for your money”

Jack’s Fish Spot is an honest establishment which does not inflate their prices to catch the tourist and fleece him, the other fish markets were way overpriced and Jack’s prices were very reasonable A 3 piece fish meal with lovely chips was nearly half the price of the other establishments and his fish is all freshly caught.

“50 yards from the ocean- yup eating here!”

What a delight! First we bought Alder smoked salmon. Moist and flaky with a subtle flavor. Just can’t get this anywhere! Then we popped by the cafe for clam chowder (OMF) and fish and chips (halibut). Skip the high priced name spots and give Jack’s a try.

“Wonderful grilled salmon!”

We happened upon this place during our tour and subsequent shopping trip through the Public Market. My friend and I really enjoyed the grilled salmon, the special for the incredible price of $7.99! The fish was accompanied by average fries and above average steamed green beans, but we didn’t care, as we were there for the fish. We liked it.

“A great spot at the market”

Upon arriving to Pike Market, we found ourselves in front of this spot. Busy although it was just about 11 AM, we ordered a chioppino to share. Found a couple of stools at the small counter and watch them cook and take orders. The 3 piece fish looked great and we had to have one. Hot and delicious.

“Oysters, oysters, oysters (and clam chowder)”

$8.99/half dozen. I had about 11 or 12 one day, then went back the next morning and had 6 more. And a cup of clam chowder. Couldn’t get enough. I didn’t have any fried stuff since I was eating the hell out if oysters. Highly recommend. It gets busy and no place to stand while you are waiting but worth it.

“Fantastic experience!”

Wiggle your way into this crowded niche in Pike Place Market and you will soon see why it is so popular. The proprietor and his staff exude personality and their food is among the freshest and tastiest we had on our trip. The White Clam Chowder is wonderful, with big pieces of clams, potatoes and bacon.

“Even a local loves!”

Eat here every time we are near the market, and sometimes even come down here specifically to go to Jacks. Best shrimp cocktail I have ever had, so much shrimp meat on top. We also love the clam chowder and after reading the reviews I look forward to trying some oysters next stop.

“Best Raw Oysters Ever!”

This is the place to eat while in Seattle! Located in the front of the Sanitary Market at Pikes Place. The Oysters are fresh, usually caught the night before, firm and tasty. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Sitting at the food bar you have the opportunity to people watch if you can take your attention off the delicious food. I had raw Oysters here ten years ago and immediately remembered how fabulous they were as soon as I saw Jack’s Fish Spot on this vacation in Seattle. I settled in for half a dozen, devoured those and immediately ordered another half a dozen. The staff were pleasant and fun to interact with. I returned the next day and ordered a dozen. The freshest, most inexpensive oysters in all of Seattle. Even the locals eat here!

“Dungeness Crab Reigns Supreme”

While strolling through the Farmers Market, we came upon this little eatery. The fish and chips basket was decent. The Dungeness Crab was incredible. The crab was pulled from a tank and steamed on the spot. It was so good, that we built in some time at the end of our trip to go back and order another crab before our flight left Seattle.

“Wow wow wow”

The most amazing fried salmon and garlic fries in the world. The salmon was so fresh it flaked. The fries had the skins still on and were loaded with raw garlic……simply amazing and for $7.99

“Great location and super prices”

Across the street from the Pikes Market … a fast food and fresh fish place.
Ate there twice … fish and chips once, and chowder and crab another time.
Prices are great, convenient to get to and quick service.
Fun to watch them preparing food from the seating at a surround type bar.

“Terrific Fish and Chips”

This is one of those holes in the wall you should seek out. The fish and chips were perfect. I wanted to order just the fish but they came with fries whether you wanted them or not. The fish (cod) was excellent. I will definitely come back.

“Great Value at Pike’s Place”

Jack is a fish market. There is a bar with very limited (and primitive) seating where you can belly up and order very fresh seafood. I used to go there for lunch when in Seattle on long layovers (flight attendant). I’ve had just about everything on the menu, my favorite are the oysters. You will leave with full wallet and a fully belly, wishing you could have eaten everything on the menu. Don’t miss this when in the market.

“Fresh Fish & Tasty Chowder”

My husband always wants fresh fish when we are near the coast, so when he spotted this tiny fish place in The Pike Place area, he was sold. The fresh was fresh and well-cooked; I enjoyed the breading more than a heavy batter. Hubby also got the chowder which he said was good, too. We got garlic fries instead of regular…they were fabulous! Seating is LIMITED, but it was totally worth the stop.

“This is it!”

Look no further for great fish at Pike’s Market. We had the fish and chips that was so fresh and cooked right in front of us. The seating is open to the street and perfect for people watching. Priced reasonably and fast service. Just what we were looking for.
