SEATAC (Seattle-Tacoma Airport) is an international airport with direct flights from almost anywhere.
If you are traveling here from other parts of Washington state or Oregon or Idaho or other states or EVEN Europe, Japan and other parts of the world, it’s relatively easy to get here. If you are not driving from out of town, it’s easy to catch a flight to SEATAC (Seattle-Tacoma Airport).
If you are just coming down to Jack’s fish Spot at Pike Place Market because you cannot resist a plate full of fat, juicy Quilcene oysters, click here to go to the directions page and we will tell you more.
How to Get to Pike Place Market Quickly

Entertainment, Goods and Dining
When you get to Pike Place Market, there are tons of musical treats from harmonious rhythm and blues to blue grass and a variety of buskers and other kinds of acts – even a guy who plays guitar while doing a hula-hoop. There are acts that include Shakespeare recitals and others that train cats. Don’t forget to bring your change! In case you are curious, the musicians and other have to get a busker’s license before they can preform.
Pike Place Market covers nine acres and offers work from 225 craftspeople as well as more than 200 unique owner-operated shops and services. While you should drop by Jack’s Fish Spot at least three times (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), there are over 80 places to eat in the market, including several sit-down restaurants that include expansive views of the waterfront and the ferries.
Pike Place is the cobblestone street running north and south through the market. It is open cars, buses, and pedestrians, making it tough to drive. It’s also virtually impossible to park there because available parking spots are rare and there are delivery trucks moving up and down the street all day.
We suggest the Public Market Parking Garage, located at 1531 Western Ave. behind the west side of Pike Place Market. Click here for more information about Public Market Parking Garage.
Coming in from the surrounding area? Take Metro or Sound Transit Link Light Rail to the market. Many Metro bus routes will drop you off near the market, and the Westlake Sound Transit Link Light Rail station is located four blocks away. Call Metro Rider Information for more at (206) 553-3000 or visit metro.kingcounty.gov.
The closest hotel is The Inn at the Market, a small hotel with a roof deck. It is a perfect place to start the day with a cup of coffee or end it with a glass of wine.
Pensione Nichols is a bed and breakfast located right in the heart of the market. A European-style inn, it has remarkable views of both the mountains and Elliott Bay.
There are a variety of other hotels in the area that are less than .2 miles from Pike Place Market including The Four Seasons Hotel, The Moore Hotel, The Commodore Hotel, and the Palladian Hotel. But this is when we turn to our old friend, TripAdvisor.
